FCAC PARTNERS

Why Partners?
As a part of its mission, the Franklin County Arts Council strives to enhance the arts, culture and history of Franklin County every day. Although it would seem noble to take on this exciting endeavor alone, the FCAC realizes that there are other groups throughout Franklin County that are accomplishing these very things. The FCAC believes that by working together with these invaluable groups, a greater impact can be made and more opportunities provided for the citizens in Franklin County.

FCAC & Person Place Preservation Society
Revitalized and restored, the Person Place in Louisburg is quickly becoming a focal point for arts, culture and history to transpire in Franklin County. Since the FCAC has been taking grand strides to enhance the celebration of these three aspects as well, it seemed only fitting for the FCAC and the Person Place Preservation Society to coordinate on some events and contribute to the community.
Out of this deliberate and meaningful collaboration has come the Bluegrass Jammin' sessions, held every 3rd Tuesday night each month at the Person Place from 7 – 9 p.m. These sessions consist of musicians throughout the county playing together for an audience eager to listen. Families and friends come out, refreshments are served and it is an event well-worth attending, especially considering the cost is FREE.
The FCAC and the Person Place Preservation Society are passionate about Franklin County and the people who call it home. Through this partnership, children will learn, families will fellowship, and art, as well as traditions, will be created. And the music that is enjoyed every 3rd Tuesday night of the month has become a sweet spot in day-to-day living.
