Artists' Meet & Greet: A Success! The Artists of Franklin County made this event a great success! Artists of all mediums came together to meet and discuss ideas about programs, events and workshops they would like to see take place. The FCAC is excited to work with such talented artists. 2010 Artist of the Year Deadline: October 15th Do you know a great artist or someone who has made an outstanding contribution to the art, history and culture within Franklin County? Then nominate them for the 2010 Franklin County Artist of the Year award! To download a nomination form, please click HERE. Forms may be mailed or emailed to the Franklin County Arts Council. The deadline for submission is Friday, October 15th, 2010.

Pickin-n-Grinnin: October 19th The FCAC and the Person Place Preservation Society have joined together to provide opportunities for local musicians to play together. These opportunities have become known as the Pickin-n-Grinnin jam sessions held at the Person Place every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 7-9 p.m. Both musicians and patrons of bluegrass music are invited to come out to enjoy the fun, fellowship and food! Open Mic: October 29th Do you enjoy telling or hearing a good story? Then come out to Open Mic, an event filled with stories, poetry, song and the spoken word. Performers and patrons of all ages are invited to attend. Open Mic will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 29th at the FCAC Building, 106 Justice Street, Louisburg. Refreshments will be provided. Franklin County Holiday Art Show: November 6th You and your family are invited to the Franklin County Holiday Art Show at The Person Place on November 6th from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. This show will feature artists throughout Franklin County and will contain a variety of artwork available for purchase. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Call for Artists: We are currently accepting registrations if you are interested in displaying at this art show. Spaces are based on availability.
